Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was earned. She performed in various stage productions during her school days, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's appeared as a guest on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film appearance was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. After that she was cast as Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she had the opportunity to play the part as Bambi on the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, appearing in series two and three. Madekwe was the main character in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe first aired in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired on The CW for only two episodes, before it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe's exit from the series was confirmed in May 2013. Following two seasons as the main character she appeared as a guest in the very first episode of season three. She starred as Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg on June 2012. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated together on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents Roy and Patty along with her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the winter as well as in the summer. They grew up playing stadiums and played baseball. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and at the age of two and a half she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley became passionate about dance after this. Ashley participated in the top divisions for jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished high school. The major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top soloist".
