Lisa Edelstein, an American actress who is best well-known for House, a Fox medical drama. Raised in Wayne with a strict Jewish customs, she emigrated into New York City at the age of 18 and began studying theatre at Tisch school of arts. The school was very active with club culture and caused enough of a stir to attract the attention of the media. Eventually she used her training and fame to compose and write a musical called Positive Me as well as to appear in it. Shortly thereafter she landed an interview with MTV, hosting Awake in the Wild Side. After the show ended her appearances began in television and film productions, initially in smaller parts, but gradually establishing herself as an actor.
