Julie Ellen "Tawny", Kitaen, was an American actress, model and media celebrity. She was born on May 7, 1961, to May 7, 2021. Her acting career on television began with Malibu (1983) and California Girls (1985). She also appeared in comedy films The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yak and Bachelor Party (both 1984) as well as the film of horror Witchboard (1986). Kitaen received a lot of attention for her work in numerous video music videos for heavy metal such as Ratt's (1984) "Back for More", Whitesnake ?Ts ("Still of the Night") and Whitesnake ?Ts ("Is This Love") (all 1987). In the late 2000s, Kitaen began appearing on reality television shows, including Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) which explored Kitaen's struggle with addiction. She was born Julie Kitaen in San Diego, California in 1961, the oldest of three children born to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor), a housewife and one-time beauty pageant contestant, as well as Terry Kitaen, an employee of a company that makes neon signs. Kitaen was born to a Russian-Jewish father and a Scottish mother. Kitaen was raised Jewish. At the age of 12 she began to make use of the name "Tawny" that she developed on her own initiative. She was dyslexic as a young person and was eventually kicked out of Mission Bay High School. 7.
